Nu'u Samoa

Nu'u Samoa (literally meaning Samoan Village) is a 3D model of a traditional Polynesian village of Samoa.

This is an ongoing cultural project to enable a glimpse of what a traditional Samoan village would look like before the time of European contact while using a modern art media of 3d computer modeling.

Since the Samoan village shares similiar artifacts with other Polynesian cultures, such as the va'a (ships and canoes) in this piece, the work can be appreciated by also using it as a Samoan perspective of an ancient Polynesian village.

The village is composed for a still image frame and the video clip gives a better perspective of the model.
